We are now also so excited that Panda’s older brother will be getting his own place in December 2020. Panda also has a love of food second to none, so it seemed fitting.
This is certainly the most obvious question, but Panda was named after one of our Old English Sheepdog puppies, whom we clearly adore. Upon opening Panda Blairgowrie, the most frequently asked question was ‘Will you be serving Asian Cuisine’? This is where we source as much of our produce as possible, for both our café and dining menu, along with our Peninsula inspired beverage list. Panda Blairgowrie is situated just over an hour from Melbourne and is located on one of Australia’s most celebrated regions, the Mornington Peninsula.
Surrounded by greenery, the menu is inspired by seasonal and local produce. Panda consists of a main dining room and has the added addition of a rear courtyard, along with a separate outdoor seating area at the front. Transforming the existing modest Indian restaurant into a café and dining room, the other main influences in the venue are natural products and sustainability. The sharing of food, wine, laughter and good vibes was the main motivation when creating both the fit out of the venue, along with the menus. Panda Blairgowrie is fashioned around the simple concept of sharing.
